as spring break comes to a close i thought i’d post some things i’ve learned in bullet form.

-if you read this blog and you are in high school, try dropping all of your pre-conceived notions about others for just one day - then socialize with people you wouldn’t normally talk to. i think you’ll find it to be incredibly rewarding. then try it for a week. then a month. tell me how it goes.

-its really easy to get stuck in a rut. my second term was great, and i grew a whole lot mentally. but i’m terribly out of shape. new term’s resolution is to lay off the substance and get that beach body i’ve always wanted.

-you know you’ve found a true friend when you can take joy in his or her success, and that friend will do the same.

-if i have learned nothing else, it is that asking your self “why the hell not” can be the most rewarding thing ever. i have tested myself more than ever this year, and, not surprisingly, i’ve learned and grown.

you know, everyone has these certain things that they do. here are mine:

-sometimes i’ll take the long way home so i can listen to music. like, the really long way home

-i spit in the bathroom all the time (i think i’ve already shared this?)

-i have really vivid daydreams, i’m talking JD status daydreams. sometimes if its really vivid i will act/talk in accordance with the dream, which results in embarrassment

-i think about the future a lot, too much really. i over-think things a lot, but that’s changing

-yeah i talk to myself

-reflective surfaces always catch my eye. while i’m looking at it i will generally use it as a mirror

-when i’m out and about, i will usually take weird routes to get from A to B if i think i might see my significant other

-i generally envision a real life scenario for each of my favorite songs

-i unintentionally drink most of my calories. i am just always thirsty

-i get so so so annoyed when people in my classes tap their feet without realizing it, but i never ever tell them

-i have been told that i apologize too much. sorry about that
